A fish washed up on the beach moves her tail, but nothing happens. Try as she might, she can’t do what she was meant to do. But if you put her back in the water and she moves her tail, she feels like she’s soaring.
When we search for the meaning of our life in places or activities we weren’t meant to do, we are like a fish out of water.
But when we give up our search and turn to Jesus, we can start to live as he created us to live.
Matthew 10:39
Jesus said, “Whoever finds their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.”

What is something sinful that Jesus wants me to let go of so that I can focus more on him?
For prayer:
Lord Jesus, you have created me for the purpose of serving you everywhere I go and everything I do. Help me to see how you bring me more fulfillment than anything or anyone else ever can. Amen.
