Join Crossroads for our Annual Worship in the Park and Picnic! Each year Crossroads celebrates the beautiful Chicago summer by holding a worship service at the end of Montrose Harbor, overlooking Lake Michigan and the downtown skyline. Plan on staying for the picnic that follows and start to think about what delicious sides you might want to bring! This annual tradition is always a very special service and an excellent opportunity to bring friends and family.
We will be setting up on the grass by the lake (our usual spot) at the end of the horseshoe drive that terminates at the Montrose Harbor Marina.
Tip on getting there: we recommend driving, carpooling, or bike and arriving around 9:30am to make parking easier and give yourself some time to set up. **Please note – there is a 5k taking place at Montrose Beach/harbor, so please give yourself extra time**
Crossroads will take care of the grillables (meat + veggie), buns and silverware. Please bring a dish to pass (side or dessert).
When RSVPing, just let us know what you plan to bring as far as side dishes and desserts. Feel free to bring chairs/blankets as well as any activities or games like frisbee, bocce ball, etc. We look forward to seeing you!
Please email Rachel at firstname.lastname@example.org with any picnic- or service-related questions.
