Pastor Mike Borgwardt |

Mike Borgwardt is Crossroads’ pastor, as of July 2005. He has Midwestern roots,
having grown up in Minnesota and Wisconsin. His previous ministry experience
includes serving as pastor of two churches in Shakopee and Andover, Minn.; as a
campus pastor at Luther Prep School in Watertown, Wis.; and as a vicar (pastoral
intern) in Phoenix, Ariz., and in Brisbane, Australia. Pastor Mike’s goal is to
find ways to share the message of Jesus with people and groups who are not being
reached by other churches.
Pastor Mike met his wife Mika during his final year of seminary in 1994. They
were married in 1995.
They have three children. Ruth devours books and loves sports -- especially
cross country, basketball, and baseball. Joshua is learning karate and will
climb anything that doesn't have a fence around it. |

Grace is into anything her older brother or sister are
doing. Mika, who has a background in social work, loves cross-cultural ministry. Mike obsesses
over indie music and really hot food. As a family, they enjoy camping and working on their bungalow. They
love Chicago and their ministry together with the
Crossroads community!
